Tegna Media underwent an on-air rebrand in 2017/18. Their previous look was bulky and outdated, they wanted to update their look to a more modern and approachable visual system. This concept was to lighten things up with a flat look and a vibrant palette and let the content hide and reveal keeping things fresh and exciting. This was my pitch, unfortunately it was not selected.
The objective is for all 46 TEGNA stations to share a fresh, modern, smart graphic look that is consistent between all platforms. Our customers should be able to associate our products to us by the quality, and consitency of the brand. The purpose is to design a fully integrated package that allows our viewers to recognize who is providing content to them no mater the delivery system.
